Lancaster Bible rallied from a 17-point deficit in the final 8:57 to beat Penn State Abington 73-67 in a United East game Saturday at Lancaster.

After the Lions (5-9 overall, 1-1 UE) took a 61-44 lead, the Chargers ended the game on a 29-6 run, including 18 straight points at the start.

Alaysha Iwais hit two free throws with 3:34 left to give the Chargers the lead for good at 64-63.

Lancaster Bible would go 11-of-14 from the line in the final 3:34, including 6-for-6 by Iwais.

Iwais and Solanco grad Jenna Dombach each scored 24 points for the Chargers. Iwais also had nine rebounds.

Angela Sanders led the Lions with 20 points.

Elizabethtown 66, Wilkes 54

At Wilkes-Barre, Jessica King had 20 points and eight rebounds and DaniRae Renno had 18 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Blue Jays (9-4, 5-1 Landmark) over the Colonels (5-8, 1-5).

King was 7-for-15 from the field and 6-for-6 from the line; Renno was 7-for-13 from the field and 4-for-4 from the line.

Erin Shober led Wilkes with 14 points.

Franklin & Marshall 51, Salisbury 47

At Lancaster, the Diplomats (6-5) took a 19-point lead late in the first half, then held on to earn the non-conference win over the Sea Gulls (6-11).

F&M took its biggest lead at 32-13 with 2:34 left in the first half.

Salisbury got as close as three points three times in the fourth quarter, but the Diplomats answered each time.

Quinn Galligan led F&M with 12 points. Ally Trebelev had 10 points and nine rebounds, and Kayla McCrea scored 10 points.

Sym Deloatch led Salisbury with 10 points.

Men

Wilkes 82, Elizabethtown 63

At Wilkes-Barre, the Blue Jays (4-9, 1-5 Landmark) gave up six 3-pointers in the first half and trailed by 16 at halftime in the loss to the Colonels (11-2, 4-2).

Elizabethtown scored the first points of the second half to get within 14, but that was as close as it would get.

EJ Finney led the Blue Jays with 15 points and nine rebounds. Dylan Rowe and Rance Russo each scored 14.

Cayden Merrifield led Wilkes with 24 points.

Lancaster Bible 82, Penn State Abington 70

At Lancaster, Connor Storr had 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Chargers (7-8, 2-1 United East) over the Lions (6-8, 0-2).

Lancaster Bible extended a nine-point halftime lead to 19. Penn State Abington could get no closer than 11.

Grant Sareyka scored 19 points, Penn Manor grad Ty Erisman had 15, and Conestoga Valley grad Luke Rumbaugh 10 for the Chargers. Lampeter-Strasburg grad Seth Beers had a game-high nine assists.

Kolby Miller led the Lions with 18 points.
