MARKSMANSHIP

• Mount Joy Sportsman Association: The group is hosting the 2023-24 season of the William Penn Pistol League, which runs on Wednesday nights through March 27, 2024. Matches cost $5 per evening and are shot with 60 rounds at a 50-foot distance with .22 caliber firearms. This year’s competition nights will start at approximately 6 p.m. and go until 9 p.m. (or earlier if all competitors have completed the course of fire). Safety is paramount and is enforced in the use of firearms, which makes the shooting discipline one of, if not the most, safest of sports.
