Elizabeth J. Jones, 79, of Columbia passed away on January 13, 2024. She was born in Columbia to the late Albert and Lorraine Grassel and was a lifelong resident of this area. Elizabeth was a graduate of Columbia High School with the Class of 1962. She was an assistant supervisor with the former Columbia Kmart until her retirement. Elizabeth loved her Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies and enjoyed fun visits to the casinos with her friends. She adored her family and treasured spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.
Elizabeth leaves behind her children, Todd, husband of Paula Jones of Mount Joy, Holly Jones, companion of Susan Steinberg of Elizabethtown; three grandchildren, Shannon, Allyson, and Tyler; five great-grandchildren, Adelyn, Amelia, Joey, Jaylah, and Zayne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Ed Askey and brother, Robert Askey.
Services for Elizabeth will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, 519 Walnut St., Columbia, PA 17512. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens.
