Arturo Aleman

A Lancaster city man pleaded guilty Wednesday to raping a child and 13 additional charges related to sexual abuse that occurred between 2016 and 2022 in Lancaster and Berks counties, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office.

Arturo Aleman, 47, was sentenced to 10 to 20 years in prison and five years of probation by county court Judge Dennis Reinaker.

A 14-year-old girl, now 16, reported the abuse to Lancaster city police, who opened the investigation in October 2022, the district attorney said. The victim said Aleman sexually abused her from the time she was about 8 years old until she was 12, while Aleman lived in Reading, Berks County.

The abuse continued after Aleman moved to Lancaster.

An investigation found Aleman drilled a hole in the wall of a shower to shoot video of the victim, the district attorney said. Investigators obtained video from Aleman’s phone.
