Girl Scouts

It's opening day for the 2024 Girl Scout cookie season.

Girl Scout cookies are a win-win purchase: It's a sweet treat for you, as well a tool that helps young women to learn entrepreneurial skills and leadership.

The 2024 cookie season kicked off today.

Those in Lancaster County can expect Girl Scout cookies from Hearthside-ABC Bakers (also known as just ABC Bakers), which the Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania switched to last year.

That means cookie fans in the county can expect favorites like Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Sandwich cookies, Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties, Trefoils, Adventurefuls (brownie and caramel cookies), Lemonades, Toast-Yay! (French toast-inspired cookies) and gluten-free Caramel Chocolate Chip.

Girl Scout cookies cost $6 a box, a dollar more than 2023's cost. Proceeds benefit troops and go towards events like field trips, community service endeavors and more.

Those interested can purchase cookies from Girl Scouts in person, or online. If you don't know a Girl Scout, but would still like to order, email memberservices@gshpa.org or call 717-233-1656.

In-person cookie pop-up events will start regionally on March 3, and will continue through April 14. Find Girl Scout cookie events by ZIP code here.
