It’s hard to think of a better way to start a winter weekend day than with a big, warm breakfast.

But a big breakfast for a good cause? Even better.

The Akron Volunteer Fire Company 12 hosted an all-you-can-eat breakfast fundraiser Saturday morning, beginning at 6 a.m.

The menu included made-to-order omelets, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, pancakes, French toast, cream chipped beef, fruit and fresh-made doughnuts. Tickets were $15 for adults or $7 for kids, and kids under the age of 3 ate for free.

The Akron Volunteer Fire Company 12 is located at 1229 Main St. in Akron. For more information on the fire company and its events, visit its Facebook page at facebook.com/avfc12.
