Bankruptcies

I usually don’t express my opinion in regard to politics; however, my family talked me into writing this. I am 72 years old, and this is the first time I don’t really feel the need to vote. Why? I watched the recent Republican presidential debate and thought it was a circus.

There is something seriously wrong with our country and our priorities. How can a ballplayer be worth $700 million? How can the average Joe afford to go to a ballgame?

I borrow a familiar saying, “If it talks like a duck, walks like a duck, it is a duck.” Pity the duck for, in this case, the duck is a marking of ways and means toward tyranny’s control of democratic institutions. Democracy is not automatically self-correcting.
